I may be late to the commenting game here but lets be very clear. There is no competition next year for who will start. Daz may say "its an open competition" but in reality Daz saw enough out of all of our QB's this year to realize they are not ready and will likely not be ready next year. I realize the offensive line stunk but even Wade didn't show much before he got hurt. Google "Patrick Towles NFL" and you will see he was a legit NFL prospect going into this year and if we can get him some OL improvement and somehow have a receiver or two emerge then we will have a legitimate offense next year (assuming Fitch can actually call a game). I realize that is a lot to assume but without a doubt Towles is going to be the starting QB. He was a elite recruit who has started 24 P5 games in the SEC. Every report on him reads that his physical abilities are off the charts but his mental make up might need some improvement. That is far above anything we have right now.
All that being said, I hope our other QB's view this as a chance to sit and improve one more year before starting.
