Against FSU last week, Wake was (statistically) strong in their overall passing game. They are not to be taken lightly and here's some info I found on their wide receivers:
Wake has three wide receivers with 20+ receptions. These guys are talented, quick, strong and dangerous.
They are grad transfer from South Carolina KJ Brent, sophomore tight end Cam Serigne and freshman Cortez Lewis.
1. Brent is a combination of size and speed. He is a deep threat receiver who requires constant attention.
2. Lewis is used primarily on intermediate routes. This kid moves the chains on third down situations.
3. Serigne, a John Mackey award Honorable Mention/ second team All-American candidate, is second in the country for receptions this season by a TE (26). He is a mismatch for any linebacker in coverage.
If Wake's quarterbacks, Kendall Hinton or John Wolford, have time in the pocket, they are are both accurate passers capable of finding their targets and are quick on their feet. All three starting WF receivers are difference makers.
