I'm a relatively newcomer to Boston College Football so I'll give you my "newcomer" perspective. Coach Addazio, like most coaches, are generally overly exuberant after signing day. Sometimes the exuberance is warranted, sometimes it's not.

When I look at Boston College I see a team that had a good and very consistent defense last year.

1. Were down only 7-0 to 8th ranked Florida State in the 4th Quarter.
Offense: 56 yards passing with a 33% completion percentage.

2. Lost to Duke by 2.
Offense: 141 yards passing with a 38% completion percentage.

3. Lost by 3 to Wake Forest.
Offense: 74 yards passing with a 30% completion percentage.

4. Lost by 2 TD's to National Championship contender Clemson at their place.
Offense: 87 yards passing with a 31% completion percentage.

5. Lost by 3 to Louisville.
Offense: 93 yards passing with a 41% completion percentage.

6. Lost by 3 to then 4th ranked Notre Dame.
Offense: 88 yards of passing with a 55% completion rate.

7. Lost by 3 to Syracuse.
Offense: 9 yards passing with a 8% completion rate.

So I'm sure when Coach Addazio watches the video below he has to be excited, maybe even justifiably, overly exuberant.
