OTL: College athletes and crimes

Interesting segment on OTL this morning but not enough beef.

"Last fall, to determine how often crimes involving college athletes are prosecuted and what factors influence them, Outside the Lines requested police reports involving all football and men's basketball players on rosters from 2009 to 2014 from campus and city police departments covering 10 major programs.."

Question was well framed but they obviously had trouble getting enough intel as colleges have done a good job shielding their athletes. Hopefully, the investigation is done more extensively in the future.

I don't believe you should punish a kid indefinitely for pot, under-age drinking (if you are not driving) or other instances which do not involve violence. But, I would love to go after the people who threaten accusers in these crap towns.
