In March I started getting fluid accumulation in my left olecrenon bursa; it was tapped of serosanguinous fluid 5 times (around 50cc each tap); no pain; consequently I had an olecrenon bursectomy 5/31, but the incision continued to drain - ironically I fell and broke my right wrist 6 days later and had an ORIF 6/15 by a different surgeon - that huge incision healed well. Original elbow surgeon went in again 7/1 - cultures sterile, no sig. path. no uric acid crystals. The incision is still draining, albeit less. My wrist doc, who is more of a sub sub specialist ordered an MRI of the elbow - I don't know the results yet - I see him tomorrow. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. (PS: to those who don't like me, please don't suggest amputation...LOL)
