This story makes me think of Bobby Swigert and the extent of his injury.

Illinois' top playmaker on offense will be out until at least October. Tim Beckman announced today that his outstanding sophomore wide receiver, Mike Dudek, suffered a torn ACL during a non-contact drill during Wednesday morning's practice. He is to undergo surgery on the knee "as soon as possible."

Dudek was a freshman All-American in 2014, caught 76 passes for 1,038 yards (both program records for a freshman) and six touchdowns for the Fighting Illini last season. He single handily was responsible for Illinois beating Penn State in the regular season. Big loss for the Illini.

Here's hoping for Mike Dudek's quick recovery and for Bobby to make it back to the Eagle line-up this season.
