These books expose the unending hubris and poor decisions made by US leaders (partial list: MacArthur, LBJ, Dubya) which have led us into unwinnable wars, on dependence on bombs and air power to win a war, and the underestimation of the competence and intentions of a potential enemy. I would wish that every literate American could read these books. IMO Trump is much like MacArthur, except he is lacking the military accomplishments and IQ. Happy Fourth, ya'll!!!
