I was at the game so I'm going by what my wife told me who watched the game on TV. She told me neither the BC touchback call (where it appeared BC downed it at the 1) nor the FSU punt non-call where the ball appeared the hit an FSU player were reviewed by the officials. Is that true? If so, how can that be the case? They were two huge plays and, from the stands anyway, the calls on the field appeared to be in error. Who decides whether a play is reviewed in college football?
Does anybody know the details? If either of those calls were reversed the results on the field could have been different. Sorry if this was previously discussed.
By the way, the Stephen Daniels pancake hit on the FSU Olineman where Daniels immediately plastered the running back 4 yards in the backfield was the most entertaining defensive play I've seen since BJ Raji. Good stuff.
