While doing a little research on last years offensive line I found some information that I thought to be somewhat interesting, if not a little bit hopeful for this years line. Last years line, even though full of graduate students, only returned two players that had previously been regular contributing starters for BC. Even though Ian Silberman was a transfer from Florida, who had a lot of success for us, he had only started 6 games in his UF career. This years line only returns 1 player who has has ever been a regular contributing starter for BC in the past in Harris Williams, although guys such as Bowen, Taylor and Baker have had a reasonable amount of playing time during previous seasons. My hope is that those guys and Cashman will respond in a similar fashion as did Aaron Kramer and Seth Bettencourt (Silberman) last season. Taylor, Bowen, Cashman and to a lesser extent Baker have had years of experience in the program and have been developed by Frye and Addazio over the better part of 3 years, and like their predecessors could very well be more then ready to step up to the challenge of being a successful starter at O-Line U. Then again all this crap I just posted could be thrown at the wall and just slide right down it and make a big pile of steaming shit, but on the other hand it could actually stick and make a beautiful painting, albeit a very smelly one, but last time I checked O-lineman weren't known for their fresh scent.
