Have spoken with a source who shed some light on the new recruiting responsibilities by geography for the revamped coaching staff.
Bear with me as there is a lot to cover. This will not give every last detailed assignment for all staff members but this should include all the changes.
Brian White: Took over the recruiting responsibilities in California. Coleman Hutzler had been an energetic recruiter out there and in Texas right from the start. White has apparently hit the ground with the same energy.
Rich Gunnell: He will recruit a little bit in South Jersey because that's where he is from. Gunnell will also draw the job of recruiting the Catholic schools in the Philadelphia area, and that should be more of an emphasis. He will do some recruiting where Ben Albert was in Maryland. Historically BC hasn't done a great job there and that's a place they hope he can recruit well because of the talent density.
Scot Loeffler: He will be recruiting the quarterbacks obviously but he's going to move around some. He's from Ohio so they will put him there. BC will now have three coaches recruiting Ohio as opposed to the two before. They're dividing up the state between three and that will allow for better targeting, easier travel, heavier focus. I've also heard that he will recruit in Michigan some (maybe not a ton), and also a little in Florida.
Paul Pasqualoni: They'll keep him in the place he's most familiar from Syracuse and elsewhere. He'll be recruiting in upstate New York and also a little bit around Connecticut, which will remain important.
Justin Frye: His map really grows. They're taking him out of Michigan as Loeffler is going in and Frye will be assigned the recruits in the Dallas and Houston areas. They're also going to let him recruit in New Orleans, as the hope is they can find a player or two there. Then he'll continue with his usual work in Ohio.
Al Washington: He will no longer be recruiting in North Carolina. Washington will continue to recruit in Georgia and Ohio, however. Those will be his primary focuses.
Jim Reid: As Washington exits North Carolina, Reid goes in. Reid will be recruiting North Carolina, Virginia and Massachusetts (as will others). I think his focus in Virginia may be the northern part of the state, which makes sense because the state's culture is very different maybe guys there are less tied to the local schools.
