I have managed to not read any of the voluminous posts since the Wake Forest fiasco. I watched the game. That was enough pain for me.
The one thing that I would like to comment on is Addazio's sideline demeanor. Now we all recognize that head football coaches come in many sideline styles. There is the "Cheerleader" as exemplified by Pete Carroll. The "Mad Inquisitive Scientist" with his glasses and hands on his hips as played by Tom Coughlin. The "Jack Rabbitt" style of Dabo Swinney. And of course "Old Stoneface" which is best exemplified by Bill Belichick.
Steve Addazio, on the other hand, depicts a style that can be best described as "Negative with a Touch of Pissed Off'. His every body motion seems to indicate that he is totally disgusted it at the fact that his players are capable of screwing up so badly when he has coached them so well. His face wears a perpetual frown which morphs into head rubbing followed by burying his head in his hands. None of that Pete Carroll perpetual optimism for our beloved Daz. His negativism has to wear off on his troops. No wonder the frosh can't kick a 25 yard field goal. No wonder Flutie and Jeff Smith seem totally confused. Daz encourages his troops to "Be a Dude". Maybe what he really meant was "Be a Dud".
