Trying to touch base with Ben Frye (actually, I was and I will; it'd be weird to try this early). Mentioned him yesterday in the recent offer roundup. He's not related to Justin Frye to my knowledge and I'd be surprised if I'm wrong, although I'll speak with sources today hopefully. Al Washington is Frye's recruiter.
When BC offered Frye, I caught up with him very briefly -- very briefly (as in, exchanged a quick message and didn't hear back immediately on a couple of other questions). What he said at the time was, "The recruiter is great! Haven't known him too long yet but I'm hoping to build that relationship."
That was in reference to just a general question about his reaction to the offer and thoughts on the school.
Frye is a defensive end from Dublin Coffman in Ohio. That's a school BC is pretty familiar with from prior recruiting classes. He's a Class of 2017 kid, doubles as a wrestler and on at least one other site he's listed at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds. Not as big as a couple of the other players recently offered at defensive end, but definitely a size BC's coaches are comfortable with.
