BC is still looking for its first Class of 2018 commitment and just as I've done some research on BC's top quarterback targets, I've also been asking around about the program's leading candidates for early 2018 commitments (regardless of position).
Three guys are standing out as potential early commits, according to those I've spoken with.
-- Wide receiver Jake Bobo from Belmont Hill, a 6-foot-4 rangy target with very good hands and solid route running ability.
-- Paul Woods from upstate New York, who is apparently in regular contact with the coaching staff and is someone the staff is very familiar with (and has thoroughly evaluated), and he's not as small as his profile shows.
-- Linebacker Ty Van Fossen from DeSales in Ohio, right there in Columbus. Although Rivals has Van Fossen listed as a 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete, apparently BC does like him as a linebacker. He's got offers from a lot of MAC schools.
