Boston College's first summer camp session begins June 18 and runs through June 21. So that's this Saturday through the first part of the week. Four days, and some guys will be there for the entire duration while others will likely be popping in and staying for just a day or so. At least that's what I would imagine. The second session runs from June 25-28, another four-day camp.
I've been told that there are a lot of guys who may be camping but haven't given firm yes commitments to making it, and all of this is subject to change.
One of the bright notes for the June 18-21 event is that some really quality teams that usually have great talent are expected to show up. I'm told that Cedar Creek (South Jersey), DePaul, Bergen Catholic and perhaps Don Bosco will be bringing their whole teams.
Cedar Creek would be noteworthy because that would (likely) mean Rutgers commit Bo Melton would be showing up. They also have three-star defensive lineman Owen Bowles.
DePaul Catholic is home to 2018 quarterback Shelton Applewhite (6-foot-4, 180 pounds).
I'm also hearing that Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga is likely to send a couple of guys up. The staff is expecting Max Fisher and Johnny Jordan to show from the school. Fisher is "only" a two star recruit but he's listing offers from UConn, NC State and Wake Forest, as well as Boston College. Jordan is one of the nation's top pure center recruits.
I've mentioned that New Hampshire quarterback Drew McQuarrie will be camping and he's confirmed that, saying this week that the staff has been in contact and they're excited to see him work out.
Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic quarterback Troy Fisher is a 6-foot-4 prospect from the Class of 2018 and I've heard that he'll probably be camping this weekend as well.
And on the topic of 2018 quarterbacks, it's a good spot to mention that Connecticut's Taisun Phommachanh should be camping as well.
Bear in mind, I'm only mentioning players that the staff has apparently already formed a favorable opinion on, and there will be a ton of other guys camping with the possibility of some new names emerging.
Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers receiver Noah Jordan-Williams has visited BC before and the 2017 prospect will be trying to earn an offer from the Eagles. He's already got an offer from Syracuse, his hometown school. Another receiver (and corner as well) expected to get a close look is Chicago area prospect Mitch West.
Local prospect Jerrod Clark, a tight end from Brighton, is one of the top in-state kids expected to show up for this first session. BC commit EJ Perry is expected to camp as well.
