Ireland - drive or take a guided tour?

My wife and I are arriving in Ireland a week before the game. I am used to driving in the UK with a manual and on the wrong side of the road. My wife thinks I am nuts to drive and wants to take a guided tour.

For anyone that has been there, what would you recommend?
