I know this was a fairly big topic in the spring where there wasn't much to talk about, but I wanted to have it go full circle.
Yes, the game was not at Chestnut Hill, and it required a passport. But I think a good amount of people who actually don't typically go to BC games go to this one (guess some may not be going back after the performance). I thought BC had a very strong presence at the game, not as large as Tech, but not horribly out-manned.
The bigger item, is that this wasn't just a home game in name alone.
BC basically got all of the other items of a typical home game (other than one end zone having GT written in it)
BC stuff was everywhere, our Bostonians played Star Spangled Banner, and God Bless America. The stadium announcer seemed fairly pro BC, they played multiple highlights of past BC greats (offensive and Defensive, BC commercials, etc.
I will say yes I would have liked to play on our turf, in the US, but I probably wouldn't have gone to that game. BC vs GT isn't really thought of as an exciting game, and probably would have been televised on the Ocho.
Wish the outcome would have been better, because it still takes me awhile to get over a loss, and hate having that feeling while on vacation, but still happy BC did a game in Dublin, and think Dublin does a very good job of playing host.

That being said I thought I would attach some pictures, a few of which were somewhat funny to me. Especially the writeup in the Irish times.
