I know he was signed for injury insurance and it hasn’t been needed. That said, given this is his last rodeo as a player and the fact that the Lakers entered the 4th quarter of last night‘s Game 1 with a 26 point lead, I think it would have been nice for the coach (or coach LeBron) to have given him more than a few seconds mop-up appearance. Show a bit of class for a guy who has been a Class-A teammate throughout his long career. I’d hate to see him get the “Jeremy Lin“ treatment and win a ring without contributing In any meaningful way in the Championship series.
