Four-star running back AJ Dillon says BC is still one of his top choices.

Dillon wants to go to a school known for running the ball with success.
The Lawrence Academy prospect will be keyed in on by every defense he and Lawrence Academy face this year. That comes with the territory when a player reaches Rivals250 status. Dillon seems to be looking forward to the challenge.

The nation's No. 13 running back is a long way from having to sign any kind of letter of intent but Dillon is putting in the early legwork to make that decision easier. He visited many schools this summer and after one of the major rounds of trips, which took him to several ACC schools, Dillon spoke with EagleAction.com and affirmed his interest in BC.

Since that big trip, which included stops at UNC, UVa, Duke and others, Dillon has been to Villanova and Temple. And he now has a pretty good idea of what his fall plans will look like.

"I'm definitely going to be at the Notre Dame-Virginia game at Virginia on Sept. 12," Dillon said. "The only hard part is that we play on Saturdays. I wish I could get to a few more games, like at Penn State or Notre Dame, but it's going to be hard."

At this point it's not a secret that Dillon likes Virginia a lot.

"Honestly, they're just so nice down there," Dillon said. "I've only been down there twice but I feel like I have a really good connection with the staff. They're kind of like a family. It's one of the best combinations of academics and athletics that you can find."

That's much the same reason for his interest in Boston College, which Dillon said is still strong.

"I haven't spoken with (BC) lately but I've been there multiple times and visited. I have a really good connection with them," Dillon said. "They know where I stand and they know that they're one of my top schools. I also definitely want to know I'm going somewhere that's going to run the ball. I like their offense. Our offense is almost identical to it so it wouldn't be too difficult as far as changing up the play style. As long as you can run the ball that's what's important to me. I'm not as much of a spread player."
