Step up and stop ducking this crisis. Your making things worse by not reaching out to the BC faithful and tackling this issue head in. If your hoping this issue will just go away its to late, the press has already started sniffing around and exposing the sad truth. You are supposed to be the captain of this ship...act like it and reach out to the entire BC community. Show us you care and what your plans are... how are your going to help address the dire athletics situation going forward?
We don't need another Brad Bates token comment....same old blah blah blah. How about a direct response from you and your BOT cronies. As the leader of this great school it's your responsibility to engage the fans, alums, students, and faculty. Please stop hiding behind Bates and step forward...it is part of your job to tackle uncomfortable issues and acknowledge the athletic failures that have occurred on your watch.
One last thing....we were asked to join the ACC first and foremost because of athletics...and what we brought to the table at the time. The academics were a bonus as we would fit in nicely with like minded ACC institutions. You seemed to have forgotten this premis. Just cashing checks is not enough and you owe it to the rest of the ACC schools to provide not only P5 facilities...but at the very least consistently competitive teams on the court and on the field. If you just don't care, or feel that these results from the two sports that drive the bus are a minor issue then STEP ASIDE.
