Very pleased to let all of you know that Kevin Stone is going to be joining us here at Eagle Action to cover Boston College athletics.
Kevin was born and raised in Waltham, MA and has long been a diehard New England sports fan. He began freelancing in August of 2008. His first ever gig was covering a team from Palo Alto, California in the Babe Ruth World Series in Quincy and from there he began covering high school and college games for The Daily News Tribune in Waltham, as well as various Patch.com sites.
He covered Norwood High School extensively for a few years at The Norwood Record before getting a job with The Metro West Daily News in 2012.
He wrote for the Metro West until 2020 until he, John Sarianidies, and Adam Kurkjian started New England Football Journal in February of last year. There, he has covered 16 DI schools at both the FBS and FCS levels, high schools in six states, and the Patriots.
He has also been writing for Hockey Night in Boston, Boston Lax, and the Boston Globe.
After talking to Kevin several times in trying to find someone for the site he really was a no brainer. He's been at the pressers and will be able to hit the ground running. He's setting up an account here and I look forward to you guys being able to interact with him starting this week! He'll be putting out daily content.
