Basketball writer for the Providence Journal (Kevin McNamara) says that last night's game was the "final year of a 10 year contract between the schools and its all but certain that the series won't continue for at least next season".
BC had won 9 of the last 10 at Conte with the only Providence win during that time coming in 2004.
Conversely, I think BC has only won once in Providence over the same time frame.
Would truly be surprised if the rivalry is not renewed. Good out of conference opponent for each team with no travel costs involved.
