I caught up with Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic defensive back Rashaad Stewart tonight and he told me that Boston College is a school he's got a lot of interest in. He's rated a two-star prospect and Cincinnati is another school that's really involved right now. Air Force, Louisville and Vanderbilt are three of the more prominent FBS programs to offer, along with BC and UC.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback told me his lead recruiter is Brian White - which isn't surprising, given that's his recruiting territory.
Stewart said he will officially visit Boston College sometime in the fall.
"I'm liking BC, Cincy, WKU and a few others," he said.
On his interest in BC: "I also talk with Coach Campanile, the defensive backs coach. I like the style of defense they play. It is real similar to my high school's defense. And the quality of academics. They have a really good communication program, which is what I want to major in."
