#1 Much nicer to have a coach that has a real press conference (Daz loves to hear himself speak) versus the ones from TOB and Spaz that I could read or listen to while taking a quick piss at the urinal at work.
#2 Jeff Smith is the man going forward. Wise move in my mind. I think Flutie's fumble on that last drive was the end of his chances.
#3 I anticipate a lot of running and read option on Saturday against Clemson (shocking) and when he pointed out that BC is #24 in rushing right now it was his way of saying we're playing to strengths which means don't turnover the ball keep the game close and let the D win the game for them if they can.
#4 He wants to stay till 5 years. That is when he feels his true "team" and "vision" will be in tact in terms of offense and defense and if they are not a regular top 25 team then (barring injuries since he mentions them every other minute) he should go...or will go if that proves he can turnaround programs and go to another P5 school...provided one wants a near 60 year old coach where it takes him 5 years to make an offense that can score more than 3 points a game in conference play.
#5 Injuries suck and that and youth is his excuse for now but when healthy and his "guys" are in there he anticipates big things. Could not emphasize enough that they are a couple of kicks and hiccups away from being 5-1 and in terms of Howell he has not done any activity other than gameday punting for 3 weeks now so he was not an option for the FG's.
