Good news and bad news for folks.

The good news is I can confirm that Boston College has hosted players committed elsewhere for official visits. Furthermore, there are plans for more to visit this weekend along with some commitments.

But sources were reluctant to green light the release of names of those players committed elsewhere because some of their situations might be sensitive. Since they're committed elsewhere they want to have control over how things play out between now and Signing Day. BC wanted them to visit so they brought them in and picked up the tab. But they don't want the kids to get in trouble if that would rub the other school the wrong way. Because of the nature of the situation(s) no positions were given.

I can tell you that one source seemed to indicate that there were two official visitors this past weekend who were committed elsewhere. That's in addition to the recently committed Mike Palmer as well as the commitments that had been planning to visit. To the best of my knowledge Christian McStravick, Ethan Tucky, Tom Kowalkoski, Sean Ragan and Scooter Harrington all took their official visits this past weekend.

My understanding is that once again this weekend BC will host "a couple of guys committed to other places," per a source, and because their situations are sensitive names aren't okay to list here. I will post all the names (of the guys last weekend and this weekend) as soon as I'm given the go ahead in the future.

"They're some guys who would definitely be difference makers," the source told me.

Tough to speculate because they're targeting players at so many positions now. Could really be any position.
