Given BC's success with and reliance on New York players from this class and last it's probably wise to pay special attention to all their moves there going forward.

The latest news item isn't a commitment, but it's a noteworthy offer. Qadir White is a Class of 2018 kid, so he's not going to take on the feel of a really pressing priority for at least a little while. But it's safe to say the BC staff is going to be talking to him as frequently as they'll allow him to. With their offer to White early this week the Eagles' chances of finding a receptive listener probably increased.

Boston College is often, nowadays, one of the first or the first Power Five offer for a lot of kids from those parts. They were not White's first offer. They were, in fact, his second ACC offer following Syracuse. Most of his other offers have been from smaller programs but I can't say for certain where BC rates on a list or if he has one.

He's a 6-foot-7, 285-pound offensive tackle ... not bad for a young kid with two years of high school left.
