Eagle Action can confirm that Trenton, Fla., defensive back Hamp Cheevers committed to Boston College and, in fact, he's been committed for a little while now. It seems like both those in the program and Cheevers himself haven't been too anxious to advertise this. You'll be reading a lot more about him tomorrow, here and from the Boston College athletics department, but I can tell you that this is one of the kids they're most excited about in the class. I've heard that many believe he's the most explosive athlete in the class and while he lacks prototypical size for a defensive back he more than makes up for it with everything else.
