DirecTV is one of three major cable providers (along with Charter/Spectrum and Hulu) advertised by the ACC, by BC and by ESPN as having signed up to carry the new ACC Network, set to debut this Thursday, August 22nd. Yet when I reached out to DirecTV here in Los Angeles last Friday, they had never heard of it. And, when they put me in touch with their so-called "Information Center" at AT&T (which owns DirecTV), they claimed never to have heard of it; knew nothing of a planned 8/22 launch; and weakly suggested that I "call back next week."
Question to the Board: has anyone to date successfully signed up for the ACC Network and, in particular, through DirecTV? Thanks.
