The kids deserved better today and I feel the coaches let them down in this one. They played well.
BC might have ANOTHER OC but the Daz stink is all over the play calling and formations.
You can't come out and play tight for an entire half to start the season
You can't hope to hit a HR once or twice a game with runs. I blame Andre Williams for this
How do you not get Towles some early throws to get him comfortable?
Two first down passes with both of them occurring on back to back plays in the first half
One second down pass in the first half.
Play-action fake to no one sucks either sell it or don't bother
No play gets blown up more than the counter yet it's their bread and butter. Your RB can't afford to be taking extra steps when the defense is Teeing off on run defense.
The o-line is much improved but technique wise they need to keep their feet, way too much run blocking not using their hands, way too many whiffs just throwing their bodies at defenders.
The fullback out of the I needs to pick up the first body in their path, reaching the second level becomes moot when the guard whiffs and the FB just blows right by the DL to hit the LB
I still see 7 wins but this one really hurt (again)
